Fifth General Assembly of Copernicus INSITU TAC, June 2020
The fifth General Assembly of Copernicus INSTAC, which was originally scheduled to be held in Goteborg, took place on line between 23 and 25 of June 2020. During the meeting, the current operational status of the service in the seven geographical domains (the Global Ocean (GLO) and the European regional seas: Mediterranean (Med), Black Sea (BS), Iberian-Biscay-Irish Sea (IBI), Atlantic North West Shelf (NWS), Baltic Sea (BAL) and Arctic Ocean (ARC)) was presented by the region leaders. Particular emphasis was given on the extension of the temporal & spatial coverage of the service through the introduction of new providers and sources, while extended discussion was made on the improvement of the released products quality. Finally, discussion made on the preparation of the INSTAC team to response to the forthcoming call for the next phase of Copernicus.
